Mission

The Consortium aims to improve policies, identify promising practices, and strengthen collaborations necessary to improve housing options for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children to enhance safety, stability, and well-being.

We envision a world where safety and housing are universal human rights.

What We Do

The Consortium provides resource development, subject matter expertise, technical assistance (TA), and training on a range of topics at the critical intersection of domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, and housing.
 
Through the national initiative known as Safe Housing Partnerships (SHP), we bring together national, state, and local organizations to build and strengthen TA to culturally specific programs, homelessness/housing service providers and victim service providers.
 

SafeHousingPartnerships.org hosts an online resource library of capacity-building materials meant to:

Help Continuums of Care (CoCs) develop partnerships with culturally specific programs and victim service providers.

Integrate trauma-informed assessments for housing and safety needs into a coordinated response.

Enhance the ability of organizations and advocates to improve coordination across service systems.

Identify policies and practices that promote positive outcomes, resilience, and stability for survivors and their children.
