Below materials that were used with NRCDV’s 2025 Policy and Research Briefing. The 2025 briefing highlights emerging findings from NRCDV’s ongoing Black immigrant and refugee housing research project. This project explores the scope of homelessness and housing insecurity among Black immigrant and refugee survivors of domestic and sexual violence and documents the experiences of advocates and direct service providers working with this population.

The briefing: 

  • Features a presentation of qualitative insights into the repeated and combined barriers contributing to homelessness within this community.  
  • Includes a panel discussion on anticipated shifts in services and support for immigrant and refugee survivors. 
  • Concludes with an exploration of the policy implications of these findings and their potential impact on future advocacy and systems change efforts.
