This document provides highlights from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s brief on Coordinated Entry. The highlights included here outline 17 qualities of an effective coordinated entry process, such as safety planning, inclusivity, and HMIS and comparable databases. Additional highlights include prioritizing people who are most vulnerable or have the most severe service needs, implementing effective assessment tools and processes, and serving people fleeing domestic violence.
