The American Rescue Plan Act provides a broad array of housing resources and assistance for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, and the programs that serve them. The law includes $50 billion in essential housing and homelessness assistance, including $27.4 billion for rental assistance, $5 billion to assist people who are homeless, and $5 billion for housing vouchers. Domestic and sexual violence organizations can apply for new funds, as outlined in this document, and should be aware of additional resources in their communities and protections for low-income renters, including survivors and their families.
