Consortium TA Team COVID-19 Special Topic Series: Rural Communities: How Housing Programs Are Addressing Immediate Needs During COVID
This session focuses on strategies used by housing providers to overcome challenges that rural domestic and sexual violence victims have faced in the midst of COVID-19. Anticipated topics of discussion include providing housing support to rural survivors in COVID-19 “hotspot” communities, use of rapid re-housing or other alternative housing resources, and strategies to engage and sustain landlords in rural communities.
- Paul Fockler, Northwest Domestic Crisis Services
- Nancy Bryan, Ruth's Cottage and The Patticake House
The special topic series is designed to give advocates a chance to learn more about the available housing funding for survivors, ask questions, process issues, and provide mutual support on the impact of the COVID-19 virus in safe housing programs.
