Coordinated Entry Best Practices: Spotlight on Rural Communities

SHP logo

DVHTAC presents a snapshot from two communities working to meet the housing needs of survivors in their rural areas.

  • Taos, New Mexico: Presenters from Community Against Violence (CAV) and the New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness will share information about their parallel domestic violence coordinated entry system, developed in the context of extremely high rates of poverty, child homelessness, and racial disparities.
  • Scranton PA: Presenters from the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) and the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) will discuss the state of housing across Pennsylvania, the parallel DV coordinated entry system implemented in Lackawanna County, and the programmatic modifications WRC is making to better connect with survivors in the large geographic and sparsely populated area in which WRC operates.
